When It's On
Some days drag by. Some feel like the "cruise control" has been activated. Then, there are those days when "it's on!" Life has its way of turning up the "heat" at the most inconvenient times (ya think?!?) Trials and troubles knock at everyone's door, and we have to respond. The Psalmist says it this way in Psalms 46:1-3 (TLB):
"God is our refuge and strength, a tested help in times of trouble. And so we need not fear even if the world blows up, and the mountains crumble at the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam; let the mountains tremble!"
We need to allow our minds and emotions to rest and settle. Then simply run to Him! I love the terms "refuge" and "strength". It's a great package that puts us at a place to re-calibrate and re-fuel.
When it's "On", remember to "Give your burdens to the Lord. He will carry them." Psalm 55:22 (TLB)
What a refuge! What strength! Our great God is waiting with open arms. What trials or troubles are knocking at your door? What kind of turbulence has you preoccupied and troubled? Run to Him!
