Strong and Able
"Those of us who are strong and able in the faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter, and not just do what is most convenient for us. Strength is for service, not status." Romans 15:1 (The Message)
Paul understood the qualities of being strong and able. He never flaunted it but simply lived it. No matter his circumstances (how about a "thorn in the flesh"?!) or his environment (prison!!), this guy discovered the secret of strength and influence.
This master encourager and helper unpacked it in all of his epistles. His foundation and rock was the Rock of Ages, Jesus.
So, as fellow believers and even strugglers in the Kingdom of God, we have a unique privilege. The honor of stepping into the lives of the "limping" and "struggling" and assisting them in getting up to speed in their walks with the Lord.
What an honor! So, as fellow servants, strong and able, let's get at it and bring glory to our King. Live with your eyes and hearts wide open and respond!
For the sake of Kingdom Work,
