ABOUT OUR ATHLETIC PROGRAMS

cfa Academy currently has over 25 middle school and high school athletic teams and God has blessed our athletic program tremendously!

In the past 12 years alone, the Eagles high school teams have won 20 conference championships and 17 conference runner ups. We have participated in over 60 NCISAA State Tournaments, winning 6 state championships and being state runner up 8 times.

We have had 248 all-conference athletes and 71 all-state athletes in various sports! A great number of our student athletes have gone on to play sports at the collegiate level. In addition during this span, our middle school and junior varsity teams have won over 600 games in their sports.

ATHLETIC ACCOMPLISHMENTS (2018-2019)

  • CFA MS Boys Soccer team had their best record in 5 years.

  • CFA MS and JV volleyball combined for 12 wins.

  • CFA Varsity Boys Soccer team advanced to the NCISAA 3A State Tournament finishing with an 11-9 record. They scored 96 goals for an average of 4.8 per game.

  • CFA had 11 all-conference athletes for the fall season (2 in soccer, 4 in cross country, 5 in football).

  • CFA MS Girls basketball team won more games than they have in any of the last 8 seasons.

  • CFA Varsity Boys Basketball team finished with a 29-6 record. They were undefeated in MAC conference play winning the regular season and tournament championships. They advanced to the semifinals of the NCISAA 3A State Tournament.

  • CFA Varsity Girls Basketball finished with a 24-7 record including a 14 game winning streak. They were undefeated in MAC conference play and champions for the fourth consecutive year. They advanced to the finals of the NCISAA 3A State Tournament finishing state runner-up.

  • CFA had 9 Varsity Basketball players named to the MAC all conference team and 4 named to the NCISAA all state team.

  • CFA Varsity Girls’ Soccer made the conference tournament and was seeded 4th. They also earned an NCISAA 3A State Tournament bid.

  • CFA Varsity Softball made the quarterfinals of the NCISAA 3A State Tournament earning a # 4 seed.

  • CFA Varsity Baseball made the NCISAA 3A state tournament for the second consecutive year.

  • CFA V Golf had two golfers qualify for the NCISAA 3A State tournament. One of those finished 31st in the state.

  • For the first time all five of our varsity spring teams represented CFA in the NCISAA 3A State tournaments!

  • CFA had 5 all -conference athletes and 1 all-state athlete for the spring season.

  • CFA athletic teams won over 100 games for the twelfth consecutive year. It was the third straight year with over 130 wins.

PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS (2007-2018)

  • Varsity Football advanced to 9 state tournaments. Their overall record is 85-50 (Averaged 7.1 wins per season). Won 4 conference championships, 1 conference runner up, 4 state championships, and one state runner up.

  • Varsity Boys Soccer advanced to 4 state tournaments. Their overall record is 93-90-11 (Averaged 7.8 wins per season).  Won 2 conference championships and one conference runner up.

  • Varsity Girls Basketball advanced to 10 state tournaments. Their overall record is 261-80 (Averaged 21.8 wins per season). Won 6 conference championships and were conference runner up 4 times. They also were state runner up once.

  • Varsity Boys Basketball advanced to 11 state tournaments. Their overall record is 292-83 (Averaged 24.3 wins per season). Won 4 conference championships and were conference runner up 6 times. They won one state championship and also were state runner up 4 times.

  • V Girls Soccer advanced to 4 state tournaments. Their overall record is 89-110-4 (Averaged 7.4 wins per season). Won 1 conference championship and one conference runner up.

  • Varsity Baseball advanced to 6 state tournaments. Their overall record is 94-113 (Averaged 7.8 wins per season). Won 1 conference championship.

  • Varsity Softball advanced to 6 state tournaments. Their overall record is 66-138 (Averaged 5.5 wins per season). Made the final four of the state tournament 3 times. Were state runner ups once.

  • Overall since 2007, our varsity teams have won 20 conference championships and 17 conference runner ups. They played in 60 state tournaments winning 6 state championships and were state runner up 8 different times. Also during this time cfaAcademy has had 245 all-conference athletes and 71 all-state athletes in various varsity sports.

  • In addition during this span our MS and JV teams have won 685 games in various sports (Averaged 57.1 wins per year).
