Can you believe it’s the second quarter of the 2020-2021 school year? November is here. Winter sports’ tryouts are here, and Thanksgiving is within sight!
Even though this year looks and feels a little different (ya think?!!), we have been blessed to march forward with our families, in the quest of a “normal” school year! Can we even remember “normal” as we knew it? Well, the “new” norm at the Academy is well on it’s way.
Jesus unpacked a standard for believers, a standard for the whole Concord Academy “crew” of 2020-2021.
“I’m giving you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too to love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love and unselfish concern for one another.” Jesus – John 13:34-35 (AMP)
For some, the love part is easier than the “like” issue right? Well, for the sake of our devo/blog let’s roll “like” in with love and fight to be intentional at home and at school with Christ’s new commandment.
I truly see it! Honest! Even in the carline! Seriously, it’s evident in your families, in our classrooms, and in all aspects of Academy life. However, we can never take it for granted. So, let’s fight to demonstrate love and unselfish concern for one another in all aspects of our lives. The return on our investment will be huge!
It’s going to be a great second quarter! You guys are the best!
