“…stand united, singular in vision, contending for people’s trust in the Message...”
Philippians 1:27 (The Message)
Paul’s exhortation applies today (ya think!) to all of us. The New Living Translation says it this way: “Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the good news about Christ.”
We stood united over the past few months inhaling (bad term, huh?) the pandemic, responding to distance learning, and exhaling Jesus. Now, we must give attention to, and inhale the current crisis of injustice and racial divide that bombards us and requires response.
“…and what does the Lord require of me but to do justice, and love kindness and to walk humbly with my God.” Micah 6:8 (NRSV)
In this time of uncertainty and injustices, we need to be the World Changers. God has called us to be voice agents of the King who bring the ingredients of justice, kindness, humility and truly love each other as He first loved each of us.
Early in my ministry here in Concord, our church adapted this montora:
“Love God, love people and pass it on!”
Let’s stand united, singular in vision and contend for reconciliation and unity in today’s broken, hurting, and bruised world while fulfilling the great commandment of God.
Be a World Changer…Today!
